  • Abstract
In this paper, a nonlinear FEM analysis model is set up based on the finite element analysis software-ANSYS. The staggered shear wall structure and the coupled shear wall structure are analyzed with this model. Compare with traditional shear wall structures, the staggered shear wall structure has many advantages, such as providing bigger space and lateral stiffness, reducing dead weigh and seismic force, and saving constructional materials. Therefore, this structural system has good economic benefits and wide applications.
