Abstract
This paper deals with an automatic registration method of multidate and multisensor remote sensing images as preprocessing in a multichannel consensual segmentation scheme. This two step method consists of a geometrical correction followed by a residual translation compensation performed by detecting the crosscorrelation maximum between multidate images. This second step is preceded by an edge detection for prefiltered ERS and SPOT multisensor images
