Abstract
The Advanced Television Technology Center has completed a series of reception tests for digital television (DTV) in both indoor and outdoor environments. The tests included the capture and recording of actual DTV RF signals. An analysis of these signals has yielded an estimation of the DTV RF channel response under actual field conditions. The results show significant diversity in the channel conditions especially in the dynamic nature of multipath interference. This paper discusses the analysis technique with illustrations from actual field captures
