Abstract
Noise characteristics in flyback power converters of the current-mode type, voltage-mode type, PWM-type and PWM with RC snubber-type have been quantitatively studied by both experiment and simulation. The mechanisms of noise generation for each type of power converter are revealed using very accurate high-frequency models which include parasitic elements on the circuit operation. Furthermore, the authors compare voltage and current noise at the output stage, rectifying diode and semiconductor switch among those power converters
