Abstract
Plans for future broadband communication systems require the development of alternative types of antennas. A combination of a slot and microstrip patch antenna leads to convenient geometries. Previously, the coplanar waveguide (CPW) appeared as an alternative solution for feeding antennas (Menzel and Grabherr 1991; Smith and Williams 1992) and CPW microstrip patch antennas became interesting. This paper proposes a design of a CPW aperture coupled patch antenna at 30 GHz. This antenna is implemented on high dielectric constant substrate.
