  • Abstract
Taking a miniature pure electric automobile as the object of study, comprehensively utilizing three dimensional modeling technology, the finite element method (FEM) and the structural optimization theory, we make a general performance analysis to the electric car frame. An optimization solution based on the generalized analysis results is put forward to make the frame lightweight. We also take the frame quality as the goal to carry on the section optimization and the whole improvement design, then the studies of the new frame. The results indicate that the new frame gains a more reasonable material utilization, gets an enhanced stiffness and loses a weight of 7.1%.
