Abstract :
A new non-thermal plasma reactor was designed and the measurement of the reactor´s discharge power was introduced. Then the experiment was carried out to reseach the effect on the removal of NOx in diesel engine exhaust with non-thermal plasma assisted catalyst technology. The results showed that NO was oxidized to NO2 with the increase of discharge power, and the total amount of NOx was not reduced under the effect of non-thermal plasma. Under the effect of non-thermal plasma assisted catalyst, the NO emission was increased with the increase of tempreture, and NO2 emission was decreased. Howerver, in the range of 300 ~350°C, the amount ofNOx was significantly reduced. In high load conditions, the removal of NOx emission was increased.
