Abstract
Lenstra-Lenstra-Lovasz (LLL) algorithm has been extensively used to obtain better basis of the channel matrix. Another technique named complex lattice reduction (CLR) that aims to enforce orthogonality between the columns of the channel matrix and reduce its size as well. The orthogonalization and size reduction work are left for the CLR algorithm so that a modification of the channel matrix is carried out, resulting in a better precoding and detection performances. Our simulation results show that the BER performance is better than conventional and reduces the complexity compared with the LLL algorithm based schemes.
