Abstract :
The focus of this paper is to provide a detailed description of the design procedure of a dual band band-pass microwave filter suitable for dual band radiofrequency front ends. This filter design involved conventional network synthesis approach and a number of extra successive frequency transformations and circuit conversions. With center frequencies of 2.14 GHz and 2.5 GHz, a band-pass filter prototype was designed and fabricated using micro-strip transmission lines for WiMAX and WCDMA communication standards.
