Abstract
An experimental approach is proposed for measuring the conducted noise in a circuit. It involves systematically tracing the generation and propagation of conducted EMI through the circuit. Central to this is a measuring probe compatible with LISN measurements, but having selective filter characteristics and attenuation to avoid over-loading of 50 Ω instrumentation inputs. The method is illustrated on a specially constructed, DC sourced, boost power converter
