Abstract :
Various facets of the design process involved in attaining a functional heat tracing design are presented. Finite element analysis (FEA) of nonuniform heat flux conditions, temperature variation about the circumference of a traced pipe, and power output decline of a self-limiting heater on thermally nonconducting pipe are presented to provide new insight into the details of tracing design
