Abstract :
Integrated global positioning system (GPS) and inertial navigation system (INS) has been applied in many fields. For many applications, the meter-level positioning accuracy obtained when using GPS code measurements is insufficient. So GPS signal ambiguity resolution is an important problem for high precision application for GPS. This paper focuses on the benefit of INS aiding GPS ambiguity-resolution, introduces Ambiguity Dilution of Precision (ADOP) to evaluate ambiguity resolution efficiency. Two cases of simulation are defined to verify the effect for INS aiding GPS ambiguity resolution and the condition for the application of INS is analyzed.
