Abstract
This paper presents a modified current control scheme of a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) which can be widely applied in home appliances and industrial applications such as robot. The presented current control scheme is based on the d-q voltage equations of the PMSM. And the voltage errors are analyzed to the related current error terms which are constant error and speed proportional error. Each error components can be simply compensated by the proportional gains without any integral term. The variation of the current error according to the speed variation is low-pass filtered and is used to compensate the current error with a simple proportional gain.
