Abstract :
A steganographic method on AAC (Advanced Audio Coding), the audio format of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4, is proposed. The data to be hidden are first encrypted and then embedded into AAC bit stream. The data embedding takes places at the heart of the AAC encoder, and each bit of the hidden data is encoded as the parity of the number of bits used for Huffman and differential coding in a frame of the AAC bit stream. Experiments show that no perceived sound quality degradation is introduced by the data embedding.
