Abstract
This paper provides the strategy based on multibus integration to accomplish complex conveyor automatic control. The background is one automation factory transform project of its old Production Tracing System (PTS). There coexist fieldbus such as Profibus and local Controller Area Network (CAN bus), industry control net Melsec Net/10 and Ethernet. The hardware architecture of the system is illustrated firstly. The paper focuses especially on the communication mechanism between the multibus. It discusses the Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) technology, the protocol transform technology of fieldbus and the OLE for Process Control (OPC) server/client technology that used in this system. This conveyor control system is a typical integration system so that the design experience can be easily extended to similar system in automatic control field.
