  • Abstract
In this paper, two three-dimensional attitude sensors that one is fixed on person´s shoulder and another is fixed on person´s head are adopted to detect the head´s attitudes relative to prosthesis´s basis coordinate system. By means of a laser ranging sensor, the distance between the sensor and a random object is measured. Make use of the above-mentioned parameters, via a series coordinate transformation, random object´s space position relative to prosthesis´s basis coordinate system can be derived in real time. This method can provide the necessary information for the multiple degree of freedom prosthesis which works in an unstructured environment to complete the operational tasks assigned. Experimental results show the feasibility and accuracy for the method.
