Abstract
An inverse scattering formulation is developed for large size-low contrast dielectric objects, based on Rytov approximation and optimization techniques for three dimensional (3D) scalar waves, providing an efficient solution to the diffraction tomography problem associated with the imaging of soft tissues in biomedical engineering applications
