Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the problems of approximation of the atmospheric electricity daily trend. It is shown that for the approximation of the time trend with a 3 to 4% error, 5 sine harmonics or 10 sine-cosine harmonics are enough. An algorithm is presented based on statistical and spectral methods
