  • Abstract
In this paper, an Internet based control software maintenance system is proposed, which enables to remotely monitor and maintain control performance. Heterogonous process variables are processed and transferred over the Internet via Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI) communication infrastructure. An industrial catalytic reactor process simulator with a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control is used as a case study to illustrate the proposed remote maintenance application.
