Abstract
The problem of finding the scattering matrix coefficients of longitudinal slot in a waveguide filled with a layered dielectric is under consideration. The difficulties of representation of the field excited by a longitudinal magnetic current in the source region are discussed. A new way for this representation is proposed, ensuring convergence of the excitation solution
