Abstract :
As one of the most popular applications in the Internet, streaming service system has been studied in many approaches to analyze its operation and improve the quality of service (QoS). This paper proposes a novel dynamic model for the streaming service system based on various technologies, such as peer-to-peer (P2P), content delivery network (CDN), P2P-CDN, etc. In the paper, we first present a virtual structure model for the streaming service system. By analyzing the novel state which is defined as the number of requests, this paper studies the factors that influences the state that is shown as the peer selection policy and the admission control policy. The model proposed in this paper shows the interactive process between client and local server, and the one between local server and other servers. Finally, some experiments are designed to validate the model.
