Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have developed an ARToolkit video-input module based on DSVideoLib, a free software library that provides easy, device-independent access to video images under Microsoft Windows. It assists programmers in developing applications that require live video input from a variety of capture devices (such as frame grabbers, IEEE-1394 DV cameras or USB Web cams) without having to deal with any DirectShow/COM programming. The new video-input module is superior to ARToolkit´s ARFrameGrabber class in terms of flexibility and performance.
