Abstract
In this report, we show the basic characteristics of 2D photonic crystal lasers including PL spectra near and above threshold and output power dependence on excitation. We also study the thermal effects including the red shifts of lasing wavelength and the threshold dependences under different substrate temperatures and pumping conditions. An ultra-low average threshold pump power of 3.4 μW is obtained under 1% duty cycle pumping condition.
