Abstract
Wireless sensor networks request robust energy efficient communications. In this literature, we propose and analyse an Adaptive Assistant-Aided Clustering Protocol using Niching Particle Swarm Optimization (AAAC-NPSO), a protocol scheme for wireless sensor networks that obeys the idea of energy efficient with application-specific to obtain good performance. Our simulation results show that AAAC-NPSO can improve system lifespan and data delivery by optimizing energy dissipation in the networks.
