Abstract :
This study presents a Hadamard framework for transmission of vector quantization data over noisy channels. In seeking a faster response, we define classes of index assignments in terms of the Hadamard transform of channel transition probabilities. We also develop an index assignment algorithm that takes into account the intrinsic natures of channel error statistics, and illustrate its performance in vector quantization of Gauss-Markov sources
