Abstract :
In this paper three-dimensional model of the scaffold coupler is established. According to properties of coupler´s welding position and structure of locking wedge, the model has been simplified. In the process of simulation coupler´s slipping has been analyzed using finite element method. The contact between steel tube and coupler, loading manner have been investigated. At last the slipping between steel tube and coupler was simulated successfully. The simulation results indicate the designed coupler can satisfy corresponding requirement. According to three-dimensional model, the real coupler has been manufactured and was tested in real condition. It can be found the results of real testing are consistent with the results of simulation. This paper has practical references in field of scaffold coupler´s simulating.
