Abstract
The design problem of sliding mode control is studied for a class of high-order systems. The design methodology of terminal sliding mode control is proposed. The paper shows that the given control can assure the trajectories of system not only to reach the sliding mode in a finite time, but also to converge to the origin in a finite time
