Abstract
Electric cooperative United Power chose to integrate two disparate distribution systems rather than maintain them separately and used a phase-identification tool to speed the process. The coop completed the integration with minimal customer impact and estimates that it saved $1.5 million in equipment and operations expenditures that it would have incurred with separate systems over the coming two years.
