Abstract
Low distortion characteristics over a wide temperature range (0/spl sim/50/spl deg/C) of gain-coupled DFB lasers have been demonstrated for the first time. Furthermore, higher yield of low distortion has been confirmed, as compared to conventional index-coupled DFB lasers.
