Abstract :
A rack-mounted frequency-routing type photonic ATM switch (FRONTIERNET) has been developed. The signal speed is 2.5 Gbit/s and maximum switch size is 16/spl times/16. The measured Q-factor was Q>II corresponding to BER<10/sup -28/.
