Abstract
Global Positioning System (GPS) defects lead the necessity of inertial positioning. Then analysis of the errors that may exist while installing or using inertial sensors to realize vehicle positioning is presented. Combined with the mechanism of error generation, an approach to correct the error which influences the vehicle positioning most is proposed. Finally, the field test results are given to verify the effectiveness of the error correction.
