Abstract
The digital terrestrial television broadcasting service will start soon in Japan. For the antenna of the portable TV, a small sized antenna is desired. The active inverted-F antenna (AIFA) printed on the finite PCB is calculated by using the electromagnetic simulator WIPL-D based on the method of moments. This simulator is capable of analyzing the antenna composed of metallic and or dielectric magnetic materials.
