Abstract :
The paper introduces a new low power time synchronization algorithm operating Kalman filtering and frequency deviation compensation for WirelessHART sensor networks, and especially makes a contrast against TPSN which is widely used in wireless sensor networks in robustness and power consumption. The simulation results show that the proposed time synchronization algorithm is high-robust and low-power for WirelessHART networks. With this algorithm, the robustness is improved as the number of active nodes is 2.14 times more than the TPSN algorithm after 50 cycles of synchronization and the average power consumption of the innovative algorithm is 8 times lower than the TPSN after 1000 hours.
