Abstract :
We propose a new approach to applying the uniaxial PML (UPML) to the non-uniform mesh FDTD method (NUM-FDTD). The proposed algorithm can achieve high performance on absorbing boundary characteristics with less computational resource on the simulation of complicated antennas. Result of the simulation on a microstrip antenna shows that the proposed method can cut down computational resource greatly with the same accuracy. The proposed approach is an extremely efficient method, irrespective of the antenna´s shape and other simulation parameters.
