Abstract
A simple method was applied to prepare pinaster-leaf-shaped ZnO nanostructures on SiO, substrates. Single crystalline ZnO nano-structures were synthesized without using any catalyst. The structure and morphology of the as-prepared sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmitting electron microscopy. Photoluminescence spectrum shows near UV emission at 386 nm and GL band(green luminouse band) at 505 nm which indicate relatively excellent optial quality of the pinaster-leaf-shaped ZnO nanostructures. Finally, the growth mechanism was discussed.
