Abstract
As the only hieroglyph still being used in the world, NaXi pictograph performs an important role in studying the evolutionary history of human character. In the past, the NaXi pictograph was processed by hand which is very inefficient. Through analyzing the characteristics of NaXi pictograph and the present situation of information processing, this paper proposes an input method that can transfer Naxi phonetic into Latin Pinyin, and also offers an optimization for this method. Based on Windows XP platform, the input method of NaXi pictograph is developed through adopting IMM-IME interface. After evaluation, the transformation accuracy of NaXi pinyin input method which is optimized is higher than that without optimization.
