Abstract :
Several investigations concerning the theory of surface acoustic wave (SAW) existence, acoustoelectric effects in the GaAs-InGaAs superlattices and bi- and multistability in the layered structures, and transformation of Rayleigh-waves to leaky waves in the solid-liquid-solid structure conducted in Siberia are reviewed. Applied research relevant to the design and technology of the SAW devices-bandpass filters, dispersive delay lines, matched filters, resonators, AM and FM detectors, and multichannel spectrum analyzers-and the acoustoelectric commutation of signals in linear photodetectors are also discussed
