Abstract :
Since the bandwidth of UWB (ultra-wideband) is very large, UWB systems have excellent accuracy in terms of distance measurement which is important for the intelligent transport system (ITS). A UWB ranging algorithm based on almost perfect autocorrelation (APA) sequences is proposed. The computer simulation results show that the UWB ranging system based on APA sequences achieves higher accuracy in comparison with the conventional sequences system under the same condition, and increasing the length of the APA sequences can lead to millimeter precision
