Abstract
The fabrication of a novel surface acoustic wave (SAW) convolver using a multichannel waveguide is described. The device is based on a nonlinear interaction of two SAWs which propagate on the same waveguide but in opposite directions. The convolution signal propagates in a direction perpendicular to the waveguide and is picked up by an interdigital transducer, making it easy to match to the output circuit without using a matching circuit
