  • Abstract
    The routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) problem with fairness consideration is discussed in this paper. Based on an existing traffic classification and wavelength reservation scheme, an enhanced wavelength reservation scheme with fairness consideration is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate the better performance of the proposed scheme in terms of optimizing traffic connection fairness and reducing average traffic blocking probability.
