Abstract :
The fractal theory is beginning from the 1970s, which take the geometrical morphology with the characteristics of non-regular and self-similar in nature and real life as the research object. Application field of this model is very extensive, and in economic management, as commodity price exhibits the characteristics of non-regular and self-similar to a certain extent, so this model is used as new prediction model in price forecasting of commodity. But this model has some problems, this paper uses empirical analysis to show the shortcomings of this method in commodity price forecast.
