  • Abstract
An proposed method is based on matching model and objects polygonal representations using the modified classical laws of geometric similarity of polygons. The method tolerates partly occluded and partly visible objects and variations in their location, orientation and scale. The model and objects are represented by the chain codes. Those are composed of the ordered sequences of local features describing each polygon vertex independently. The condition of separate vertices resemblance is defined. We denote by term “quasisimilarity” approximate geometric similarity of polygons and define the one as enough number of the model and object vertices pairs satisfying to resemblance vertices condition. For the test of this method, the recognizing system has been developed. The analysis of results are represented
