Abstract
For the stable integration of wind power plants into power system, system operators legislate the integration standards and operating strategies for each wind power plants. Especially, with the connection of large scale wind power plant such as Off-shore wind farm, the plants obligate to support the reactive power during the fault by using PCS(Power Conversion System) control. This paper proposes the centralized voltage control strategy during the fault. The centralized voltage controller allocates the reactive power of wind turbines by using the Q allocation factor based on VQ sensitivity. The algorithm considers not only the reactive capability of wind turbines but also characteristic of wind farm topology. The results show that proposed scheme control the not only POC voltage but also terminal voltage of each turbines. As a result, burden of wind turbine´s converters can be reduced and wind power plant secures the active power without turbines shutdown.
