Abstract
Supportability is an important design characteristic of equipment and weapon system, and is tested and quantified prior to fielding by the initial operational test and evaluation (IOT&E) process, and assessed against defined criteria. Considering equipment supportability assessment criteria including several qualitative measures and the traditional assessment method only focused on the quantitative issues, the matter-element and cloud model integrated method were used to enhance the equipment supportability assessment. Finally an example indicated that the proposed assessment model is feasible and effective, even when the assessment indicators data is interval value, the research reflects that the matter-element and cloud model integrated method is helpful to solve the qualitative assessment problem.
