  • Abstract
The worldwide revolution in Internet has changed the lifestyles of many people in terms of the way they work and interact with others. These changes also have influenced the way government functions with other government and private institutions as well as its citizens. Governments of many countries are also taking proactive measures in this domain and are aiming to deliver more interactive services to citizens and businesses through e-governance. Cloud computing helps to improve e-government execution effectiveness and create new business opportunities. Cloud computing is an evolution of web based internet application and describes a new supplement, consumption, and delivery model for IT and ICT services based on the Internet. It enables sharing of resources and costs across a large pool of users while providing on-demand services with dynamic scalability. This paper focuses on the existing e-government system of Saudi Arabia and proposes a model based on cloud computing with a rational inference agent that is expected to be more user-friendly and provide efficient distribution of workload.
