Abstract :
Many casualties are produced by railway cross accidents every year. Since railway cross currently consists of traffic light and crossing gate, there are difficulties in preventing the accidents. To solve the problem, the system in which train entering railway cross can estimates in advance and handle the situation is emerging and many solution are proposed. However, locomotive engineers control the trains by own decision in the current systems. Therefore, accidents generated by locomotive engineers´ error cannot be prevented. In this paper, the auto control system using OSGi and JESS is proposed. The proposed auto control system immediately deals with information of railway cross and train by using interactions of the context aware service components which are equipped on OSGi platform as bundles. Also, information management is easy due to the functions of OSGi. And state of railway cross is estimated more correctly based on collected information through JESS rule engine. If locomotive engineers determine the situation late, alarm message services are provided and trains can be controlled automatically. By using this system, we can deal with urgent situations at the railway cross and prevent railway cross accidents in advance.
