Abstract
A modularized design for a range of high-voltage SF6 circuit-breakers is described. Stable operating times are reached, which makes the breakers well suited for controlled switching. Condition monitoring is considered, and suitable parameters to monitor discussed. The breakers may be combined with other HV apparatus to form functional modules, which give advantages for substation layouts and for maintenance
