Abstract
When locating faults using one-terminal measuring data for overhead distribution systems based on the concept of superimposed voltages and currents, the measuring-errors make it difficult to discriminate the real fault from false faults. Through theoretical analysis, this paper proposes a new method to recognize the real fault from equivalent faults by the relationship of contact resistance changes with the phase measuring-errors of voltage to current
