Abstract :
In the research of photodynamic therapy (PDT), we need to know the percent of cells that survive PDT therapy to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment conditions. Manually counting the cell number from digital images is time-consuming and not very objective. An automatic cell counting method based on an image segmentation technique is introduced and some results have been provided to compare with the human counting results
