Abstract :
The presence of gall-bladder (GB) stones causes discomfort to the patient. These days, these stones are removed by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, non-invasively. In order to determine the design parameters, the GB stones are characterised for physical and other parameters. The structural analysis of the stones is made by using an X-ray diffraction technique and cholesterol is found to be present
